Australian federal and state governments are supporting “clean coal” technology for electricity generation as part of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (carbon trading) to reduce Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Using the carbon capture and storage method, the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions released by the highfalutin high polluting coal-fired power stations will be captured and then stored underground.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and other backwards thinking politicians like Peter Batchelor, Martin Ferguson and Penny Wong are promoting this unproven and expensive method as a solution to climate change.

Greens senator Bob Brown and other forward thinking people and organisations like Greenpeace are taking the issue of global warming seriously and think we should keep the coal in the ground and phase out polluting fossil fuels.

They’re calling on the government to give more support to environmentally friendly clean green renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, tidal and geothermal power and also promote energy efficiency programs to consumers and industry.

I have an idea on how to build a machine that uses a power supply that is unlimited,and free,and absolutely nonpoluting. This machine will use materials that are readily available,but cost money I do not have. I know it can be done,and the only thing I have is the knowledge.I need someone willing to work with me,who has the resourses,or the ability to get them.My idea is so simple, so unbelevable,I can not understand how it has not been done yet.Then again it most likely has,but not allowed by the govmnt.They could not make money. Coal and oil power would all but dissapear. They said men would never fly,go to the moon,or live with a mechanical heart. This will work. Does anyone know how to get help ?

Germany is phasing out nuclear power because of environmental concerns.

To replace this energy, the German government is approving new coal fired power plants.

Should other countries follow Germany’s example and replace nuclear power with coal?

Coal power plants emmit nuclear radiation the air from burning coal mainly thorium and uranium 235 but others as well.

I am looking for the amount a typical coal plant emits per MMbtu of energy used.
Also I want the amount of Radiation produced daily per MW of power produced.

How would I go about doing that?
