FuturGen, a coal using power plant, was to be built in Illinois or Texas?

Illinois was chosen, but the project became to expensive. Yea right, didn’t go to a red state. So, with all of Obama’s campaining, why isn’t he mentioning this in his speach? Isn’t he an Illinois Senator? Aren’t we still paying him? Change my foot. Good talker…but that’s about it. If you took out Chicago which is where he got the black vote, he woulnd’t even have won his home state. I’m voting for Hilary…the only person for the only party that doesn’t support the War.

How are we going charge our EVs like the GM Volt if Obama makes new coal power plant non-viable options?

From the San Francisco Chronicle and US News and World Report: “Barack Obama declared war on America’s coal-fired plants, pledging to regulate the industry so aggressively that “it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
Wind, natural gas, and solar are fine — but they won’t meet short-term needs. Obama is not terribly supportive of nuclear, and I don’t think his tax policy would encourage the building of nuclear power plants — that leaves coal for the near term — Obama is the person who says he will put coal OUT OF BUSINESS — it is HIS words.

Why does Obama want to bankrupt coal-powered plants?

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
