BNSF Renville Coal power WEST of HOPKINS 4-15-08
This is BNSF Power comming back from the sugar beet plant at Ruebel (a couple miles east of Renville)after droping off a C-SCMREN (Spring Creek Mine to Renville, MN coal train out on the TC&W!! They have been running about every 2 or 2.5 weeks. There are 2 kinds of hoppers they use! 1. Older, black-colored steel hoppers lettered SCKX or 2. Newer, aluminum hoppers with yellow bands that are lettered UCEX. The SCKX hopper trains have been on TCWR since January 2007 and the UCEX hoppers have been running over the line since March 2008. The engines are the BNSF 8245, BNSF 9924, and the BNSF 9735. BNSF power has been coming out to Ruebel since July 5, 2007.
