Does this article lead you to believe we need to ban the production of new coal power plants?

Ok first of all, how can someone possibly say it’s either coal or nothing? Because that’s is just not true, there are many ways to produce electrical power. And perhaps a ban on coal power plants that don’t sequester ALL there emmisions is more reasonible.
Please do contact your represenatives in government on all levels, I think that’s a great idea because when someone is passionate enough about an issue to actually take the time to contact them they know that there are many more that feel the same way but just haven’t gotton in touch with them to tell them.

No, and I have yet to see anyone that proposes banning coal fired plants come up with a reasonable substitute. Apparently they want everyone to freeze in the dark.

The article makes plain the need to require new plants to include means to sequester the CO2 produced at the new plants, and even to require some schedule of retrofitting of old plants to sequester carbon,.. but it does not convince me to support a ban on coal fired plants.

It really does motivate me to contact my representatives in support of required sequestration of CO2. Someone appears to have forgotten to represent my best interests in this matter.

    Cool article, thanks.
