There was a plot by Old Dominion Power to put power lines through Fauquier Co, Virginia, what is the status?

coal power
A Dull Man asked:

The power company in Northern Virginia is Old Dominion. They were trying to put in power lines that led fromt the power plants (that use high sulfur content coal) in Ohio to New York City. Their logic was a false assertation that it was needed when other alternatives were available.

powerlines don’t give off smoke, so I don’t know why you are so upset. If you are complaining about the scenery, by having these lines go around the county would just ruin more scenery in other places.

you can complain but first go outside and cut the power to your own house.

we feel the same way about you people in the east that want to build 10,000 sq miles of solar power plants in the desert southwest.

They are still attempting to put the lines through. The area is growing much too fast and within the next decade or two the current electrical infrastructure will not handle the population increase.

    Good luck!
