What kind of electrical power plants does Hawaii have?

I know they don’t have a nuclear reactor. Do they have a coal or natural gas power station? With all the volcanic actvity on the islands…do they have geothermal plants? Is all this power generated on one island and transmitted to the others??

There is no established use of geothermal power on the island. Each Island generate its own power from oil-fired plants. Gasoline is refind prior to being shipped. Generating power from a single island would be impractical. For example, Oahu is 200+ miles from the Big Island
