Where can I find out how much energy a coal plant makes compared to a nuclear power plant?

I need a reliable source. Also if that had info on lots of U.S. energy sources that would be great also.
where on the site did you find those facts dooberheim

On the average, a nuclear plant makes somewhat more energy that a coal plant, but they are close enough that they overlap significantly.
Most nuclear plants produce on the order of 500-1000 MW, where large coal plants produce from 100-800 MW.
Here’s pretty much anything you’d want to know:

There’s only one problem with your ponderings…the amount of energy produced by either process is directly related to the demand. In other words, you cannot make electricity and store it. It has to be generated at the same exact rate that it is being consumed.
Nuclear Power Plants normally produce between 500-1600 Mw and are “base-load” plants run at 100% capacity. It costs as pretty much the same to run at 10% or 100% but at 100% you are making a lot more money.
Coal fired plants are also “base-load” plants, but fuel cost is a significant portion of the total cost so operating at a lower power level is more cost effective. Coal fired plants are ranged in size from 100 to 3,500 Mw
